Why Instagram on Mac is limited
Instagram has no full desktop app for macOS, and the website puts a login wall in front of stories. Once you log in, every story you open is recorded under your name.
A browser-based viewer gives you a large-screen view of public stories without either of those limits.
Works in every Mac browser
InstaSPY runs on the web, so it works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Arc on any Mac, Intel or Apple silicon. There is no extension to add and no permissions to grant.
Stories open in a clean, full-screen viewer that is easier to read on a laptop or external display than on a phone.
What you can view
Active stories and highlights from any public account. If an account has no stories right now, its highlights are usually still there.
Private accounts and Close Friends stories are never shown, because they are not public.
How to view Instagram stories on a Mac
- Open any browser on your Mac.
- Type the public username in the search box at the top of this page.
- Press "View stories" and wait a few seconds.
- Click through stories and highlights in the full-screen viewer.
